Our Impact
BCRPA provides a necessary resource for foster parents in Baltimore City. Did you know that Baltimore City receives on average 8-12 children in care every day? Baltimore City resource parents are on the front line, providing 24-hour care to a disadvantaged subset in Baltimore City, some right from the hospital.
Baltimore City kids who come into care have an uphill battle with statistics not at all in their favor. But foster parents are there to provide the 24/7 care they need to put them on the best path forward. And BCRPA is here to support Baltimore City foster parents and Baltimore City foster children any way we can.
Here are some of the things we've accomplished so far:
Picture Perfect Photo Days
BCRPA has held two Picture Perfect Photo events that provided professional family and individual photographs at the beautiful Ft. McHenry to kids, who in most instances, would never have the opportunity
Annual Christmas Shoebox Gift Drive
In 2021, we held our 1st Annual Christmas Shoebox Gift drive to provide Christmas gifts to over 90 Baltimore City foster kids.
PRIDE Training Attendance
BCRPA presented in more than 20+ PRIDE training classes for new Baltimore City foster parents, reaching out to more than 100+ potential foster homes, helping them through the tough process.
Nonprofit Status Completed
In 2021, we completed and received our 501c3 nonprofit status to accept tax-deductible donations. We also rebuilt our Executive Committee!
...and we aren’t finished there. 2022 is looking even better. With your support, we can continue to grow and do great things for the foster parents and children in Baltimore City and make lasting change in Baltimore City for generations to come.
